However, if the gas leak is underground and your gas line is metal built back in the 1970’s, then the chances are slim that repairing one leaky area will get your gas back on and running. Once we have to cut the metal pipe it will shake up the rest of the line and open up another can of worms for you. We recommend to replace your gas line with polyethylene piping.
